Stefie, un adolescent tragiquement banal et solitaire, est recruté par Jean-Sé, Martin et Léa pour filmer leurs mauvais coups quotidiens à l'aide de son téléphone portable. Les quatre acolytes décident de monter un coup qui dépasse l'ampleur de leurs réalisations précédentes.. Mais cette fois, qui sera la victime? PRANK est un conte comique et cruel sur le passage à l'âge adulte, qui aborde avec humour et transgression les premiers amours, l'amitié et la perte de l'innocence.

Prank fut essentiellement produit avec l'énergie qu'il véhicule.  D'un scénario déjanté, turbulent et sensible, qui raconte le développement doux-amer d'une amitié naissante, j'ai tenté de concevoir un film tricoté, fait avec les moyens du bord, dont l'approche rabibochée serait en parfaite symbiose avec la folie de ses péripéties.  En racontant l'histoire de Stefie, j'ai tenté d'explorer l'aspect fondamentalement tragi-comique de l'âge ingrat.  Grandir est une expérience difficile, dont les joies sont indissociables des malheurs.

Stefie, an unremarkable teenage loner, is recruited by Martin, Jean-Sé and Lea to record their daily capers with his cellphone. The four pranksters decide to set up a stunt that go beyond anything they've done so far... But this time, who will be the victim? PRANK is a funny and cruel coming-of-age story about love, friendship, peer pressure and the loss of innocence.

Prank was made with the same energy it’s trying to convey.  With a rambunctious, no-holds barred screenplay that told a bittersweet tale of friendship and love, I set out to create a film with a low-fi, handcrafted approach that I thought would be in sync with the wildly hatched pranks of its characters.  By telling Stefie's story, I tried to craft an honest, funny and tragic coming of age tale that would sincerely explore the difficulties of teenage life while also expressing all the silliness that's inherent to young age. Growing up is always difficult, but it doesn’t mean it's never funny.
